First-Year Symposium

First-Year Symposium (FYS) is a two-day event held at the end of each fall semester that involves all 2,000+ first-year students. Students work individually or in small groups to present posters based on the work in their First-Year Seminar class and/or learning community. The event is open to the campus community to provide students with an audience for whom to demonstrate their learning, as well as to celebrate their successes in transitioning to life as an Islander.

The Fall 2019 First-Year Symposium was held November 21 & 22, 2019!

The Fall 2018 First-Year Symposium was held on November 29 & 30, 2018 in the UC Anchor Ballrooms. (TAMU-CC Cover Story)
