Professional Assistant Professor & Seminar Coordinator

 As a graduate of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi's (TAMUCC) First-Year Learning Communities Program (FYLCP), Chelsie has seen the positive impact of learning communities from the beginning of her college career. She joined the FYLCP faculty as a Teaching Assistant in 2007 and lead both composition and seminar courses. After graduating with her master's degree in Composition and Rhetoric from TAMUCC, she joined the professional FYLCP faculty as a seminar professor. Since then, she has seen the program evolve into a comprehensive and well executed program, which inspired her to take an academic interest in learning communities. She will soon graduate with a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on first-year student success.
