Ms. Boeck is originally from Atlanta, GA. Her Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology and Chemistry was from the University of North Alabama. She moved to Texas to pursue her Masters in Marine Biology here at TAMUCC. She is passionate about encouraging, equipping, and mentoring future scientists, and she plays an active role on our campus as an advisor for Texas Outdoor Writers Association and the Baptist Student Ministry. She is also a member of our Honors Council. Her past research and career opportunities have included working with beluga whales and harbor seals, marine animal rescue and rehabilitation, discovering cross-toleration in upside-down jellyfish, and researching oysters and potential parasitic threats on our Texas coast. Ms. Boeck loves to fill her free-time with dancing, traveling, studying Israel and the Bible, and enjoying the outdoors!
